What we do
For more than ten years, Josh and Lindsey have arranged private, secured financing for established small and mid-sized companies. Their borrowers usually need capital on terms a bank won't offer, or faster than a bank can move.
We originate every note ourselves and negotiate it directly with the borrower’s owners. We draft and document each one in-house, and we manage it actively until it’s repaid, including amending terms as the borrower’s business changes.
Who we work with
We're looking for new borrowers. We usually work with operating companies that have:
- an established operating history and identifiable revenue
- collateral we can secure, such as real estate, receivables, equipment or a lien on business assets
- a defined need, such as growth, acquisition, refinancing or working capital
- owners who will share their financial statements and provide guaranties where appropriate
How a note works
Secured
Depending on the credit, a note may be secured by a first mortgage, UCC-1 liens on business assets, personal or corporate guaranties, or a combination of these.
Monthly interest
Borrowers usually pay interest monthly. Principal is due at maturity or amortizes on an agreed schedule.
Defined term
Each note has a set maturity, prepayment and extension terms, and regular financial reporting from the borrower.
Direct relationship
Borrowers work directly with the managers from the first conversation through repayment.
This is a general description only. Every note is negotiated individually, and its actual terms vary.
